Universal Declaration of Human Rights: Article 5:

“No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.”

Resolution 2035 of the European Parliament states that “any genital mutilation is a violation of fundamental rights”.

The Penal Code, Civil Code and the Code of Ethics of the medical profession, of every nation of law, condemn genital mutilation, either explicitly or by deeming it to be grievous bodily harm.
